Cooking has always been a pastime I and my family enjoy.
Traditional Italian and especially Tuscan ‘slow’ cooking is at the heart
of many of our favourite dishes, but having lived in the US for many years and
with international friends here in Cortona who occasionally miss ‘home-cooking’,
I have learned how to create dishes from various parts of the world. Here are
just some of our favourite dishes and ingredients caught on camera.
My paella with rabbit, chicken, clams and mussels
Chinese ravioli by Michela, my daughter.
Homemade flat bread with salmon, avocado, caramelized onion, lime, black
sesame seeds
Sautee of mussels and clams
Indian style butter chicken with some made flat bread
Pork, sour cream, caramelized onions, tomatoes, cilantro and hot sauce,
plus Hard Shell Tacos
Barbecued ribs and artichokes
Lumache (snails) in a spicy red sauce. Pancetta, anchovies, capers,
onions, carrots, celery ...
