Cortona’s comune has now released official dates for its major events for 2023. (We are making progress!) There wasn't a great deal of info to go with them, but where possible we have researched the event, to give a bit of added info. More events may be added, but the following are all confirmed.
We will up-date the calendar as and when we hear of upcoming happenings.

Exhibition celebrating the 500th anniversary of Luca Signorelli’s death.
Around thirty works by the artist from prestigious Italian and foreign museums, including important loans from private collections and from overseas, will be an occasion to definitively celebrate and consecrate Luca da Cortona among the great artists of the time, also in light of the studies of the last years.
From the Uffizi Galleries in Florence to the Capodimonte National Museum in Naples, from the Fondation Jacquemart-André in Paris to the National Gallery in London, from the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Orvieto to the Pinacoteca Comunale in Sansepolcro, from the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin to At the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, the paintings on display have been selected on the basis of their very high quality and appear representative of each decade of Signorelli's activity, starting with one of the very first works, still under the influence and mastery of Piero della Francesca, from a private collection in New York.

Cortona olive oil competition – Last year more than 70 extra virgin olive oil producers, located between Farneta and Terontola, participated in this event. The categories were best 'typical oil', best 'fruity' oil and oil with the best 'equilibrium'.
